The AMA is the public face
of Australian medicine: an agent of change, a voice of reason
and a recognisable leader of societal values. The AMA is
continually considering a wide range of policy issues and
regularly releases Position Statements which articulate
the Association's stance on key health issues.
The majority of Position
Statements and policy documents are created and endorsed
by the federal AMA, and are available from the federal
AMA website but from time to time the AMA(SA) Council
will create a statement or policy paper on a state-specific
issue. These are communicated to the membership through
our official publication, medicSA.
The AMA(SA) welcomes members'
contributions to policy development through involvement
in our standing committees or by communication to the AMA(SA)
President and Council. For more information about AMA(SA)
policy or position statements, call us on (08) 8361 0101
or email AMA(SA).
