The AMA(SA) provides several
annual Student Elective Grants to fifth-year University
of Adelaide and third-year Flinders University medical students.
To be considered, applicants must be travelling to developing
countries or Aboriginal communities for their elective.
Alternatively, applicants may also be undertaking electives
in rural South Australia with a view to becoming a rural
practitioner.
Applicants must be Australian citizens/permanent residents
and current AMA(SA) members. Student Elective Grant winners
are asked to write an article about their experiences on
their elective, which is then published in medicSA,
the AMA(SA) magazine.
Applications are open from 1st July to 31st August each
year. To download an application form, click
here. If you have any queries, just call us on (08)
8361 0108 or email
us.
