Andrew Shepherd

Andrew Shepherd is completing his final year of medicine at the University of Adelaide. His studies and interest in global health have taken him overseas to placements in Vellore, India and Arusha, Tanzania.
During his time in medical school he has been involved in the Executive of the Adelaide Medical Students’ Society and last year held a position on the Executive of the Australian Medical Students’ Association.

He is keenly interested in medical education, healthcare reform and prevocational training and will work as a tutor for pre-clinical students in 2011.

Outside of medicine, Andrew has discovered the joys of mountaineering having just reached the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro and is in training for his next adventure. He also enjoys playing golf, tennis and lacrosse.
