Dr Martin Bruening

Dr Martin Bruening completed
his undergraduate education at Flinders University. He went
on to do advanced surgical training in Adelaide and Perth,
completing a Fellowship in General Surgery at the Royal
Australasian College of Surgeons in Adelaide; and a Fellowship
in General Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.
His postgraduate thesis for his Master of Surgery was on
surgical undergraduate education.
Martin is now a consultant surgeon
at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Port Augusta Hospital.
His research interests are in rural surgery and undergraduate
education, and he has been published a number of times in
this area. He is married with two children.
